Today's Best Care

Lisa Hiebert photoAll three of the Lo Scerbo children worked at Best Care after school and throughout summer holidays, and it was only natural when youngest daughter, Lisa, fell in love—not only with clothes, but also with keeping clothes clean.

After graduation, Lisa went on to take courses at the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland, and, by working alongside her parents, she gained valuable knowledge and practical experience. Tony and Irene made it their life’s work to keep Winnipeggers cleaned and pressed and always well-dressed, and she hoped they would allow her to carry on doing the same. Tony, the immigrant entrepreneur, passed on his passion and his business. In 2000, Lisa and her husband, Kevin, purchased Best Care.

Lisa continued with her studies, and, in 2003, became the first in Winnipeg to hold the title of Certified Professional Dry Cleaner (CPD). She and Kevin are active members of DLI (Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute) and OFA (Ontario Fabricare Association).
